(1) Any person who is engaging in unfair commercial activities in a way that adversely affects the rights and interests of consumers by establishing a monopoly or by any other means influencing the price and supply system of consumer goods or services or is acting in a way that is harmful to consumers. The Government of Nepal who has reasonable grounds to believe that the goods are being produced, sold or distributed or is being acted against this Act or the rules made under this Act, may conduct necessary investigation and inspection.
(2) According to sub-section (1), the Government of Nepal shall take necessary action against the producer, dealer, agent, seller, person or organization found guilty by investigation and inspection according to the prevailing law.
